Each weapon has a weight value located beneath its gold value. In order for a hero to equip a weapon, they must have a Strength of at least the weapon's weight. This can be based on the hero's base strength, or modified through other cards such as food or spells.
Weapons also have a type classification, such as Edged or Blunt. This trait is required for determining certain bonuses/penalties that the weapon may aquire, or for a weapons effectiveness (or ineffectiveness) against certain monsters.
